Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women aged 18 plus. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and are sponsored by a local Rotary club. It makes them true “partners in service” and key members of Rotary family. Rotaract is Rotary’s most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 9,030 clubs in about 170 countries and geographical areas.
Rotaract Movement started in Nepal in 1991 with the Charter of the first Rotaract club. Since then the movement has extensively grown inspiring thousands of youths and brought out dynamic young leaders. Presently, there are 132 Rotaract clubs across the country with more than 4000 Rotaractors spread across the nation.
The Rotaract Club of Rudramati Babarmahal was chartered on 3rd Sep 2012 with small group of young people with new vision. At the starting club was had only 10/12 member to started the journey in communities for humanitarian work. Club has conducted many social activities along with profession development work in the society. After the years goes on club has gradually increases the meber and activities of work in society. Club had successes to give the positive impact on the communities. Club had got reconization & award from Rotary District 3292 due to various social activities that had good impact in communities. Till the date now club has been one of the great and established club in Rotary district 3292 Nepal & Bhutan.The club meeting holds at A-one Café and Banquet, Sankhamul, every Saturday on 9 a.m. The Parent Rotary club is Rotary club of Rudramati, The twin clubs are Rotaract club of Phulbari, Rotaract club of Lamjung and Rotaract club of Sainamaina and the sister clubs are Rotaract club of Manohora and Rotaract club of Rudramati.
The club is continuing to organize various social awareness, environment protection, youth initialization, motivation and volunteering ever since it was established, instances “tree plantation”, “ghumau mechi project”, “legal awareness campaign” and “breaking the corruption chain”. It has contributed in various programs for social development and economic growth of the people such as drinking water and sanitation, education, school supplies, child welfare, health, human capacity building, leadership and vocational training.
Therefore, the club is largely accepted as a vibrant club for continuing the legacy of successfully conducting various activities under different avenues. Since, the programs and projects thus conducted had positive impacts and advantages on the societies, most of such programs and projects were covered by different medias.
